Is the smell from a laser printer poisonous?

Is the smell from a laser printer poisonous?

The big voltage parts emit Ozone, which should be engaged by a filter, perhaps the filter is mature. Exposure to Ozone is linked to respiratory problems. Also toner dust, which again should be retained surrounded by the printer, can give problems beside asthmatics or allergy sufferers
No...
NO .and i don't know why you ask about that ..
The smell is ozone. It comes from the dignified voltage parts of the fuser assembly. There should be an ozone filter fitted to prevent too much ozone escaping. It might need replacing. Whilst not toxic in the long permanent status, it can cause headache and nausea if you breath too much of it.
Yes, it can be in glorious doses.

The smell is ozone, which is normally present surrounded by the atmosphere, however high doses can be bad for you. That is why laser printers are fitted (usually) with an ozone filter.

Follow the safekeeping instructions with your printer.

PS - keep under surveillance out for the toner - you don't want to breath that in or chomp through it!
