if it doesn't work at all, try to install the disc again
Printer problems can sometimes be a pain to diagnose.

First, label sure all the cable and the power cord are connected correctly and that the printer is turned on. (Yeah, I know it's obvious, but it's better to check the deliberate first.)

You specifically said you just get your printer back from the repair shop; did you use another printer while the OfficeJet be in the shop? If so, it may be that the printer you used be designated as the new evasion printer. To check this, right click on the Start menu and select Printers and Faxes from the Settings Menu item. See if your OfficeJet is in the index of printers that comes up and has for a while black circle with a checkmark surrounded by it (this is the way XP let you know what the default printer is).

If the OfficeJet is contained by the list of printers, but there's no check splotch next to it, right-click on the statue to bring up a menu and select Set as default printer. The little black circle should in a minute appear letting you know that the OfficeJet is your default printer.

If your OfficeJet is not surrounded by the list of printers, run the installation program that originally come with your printer, or download it from the HP Web site.
